Business Development Representative

Location:  Belmont, MA

Job Description
A business development sales representative at Smart Software will play a fundamental role in achieving our customer and revenue growth objectives. We are looking for the right individuals who can identify prospective customers, generate interest and build a sales pipeline. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound calls and emails, and social media
  • Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications designed to increase client interest
  • Work with Marketing and Sales teams to create and run successful campaigns to increase sales
  • Develop an effective pipeline of new client opportunities
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives

Requirements

  • Proven inside sales experience
  • Strong phone presence and experience with outbound lead generation
  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with Hubspot
  • Experience working with Twitter, Linked In, and Hootsuite
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent

Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager plays an essential role in the development, execution and analysis of Smart Software’s inbound and outbound marketing campaigns; including direct marketing, email deliverables, social media, and advertising programs.

Location: Belmont, MA

Responsibilities:

  • Develop outbound campaigns including webinars, targeted emails, social media marketing, and conference meetings
  • Develop inbound sales channel by increasing Smart Software’s social media presence, developing and distributing blog content, and engaging social collaborators/partners
  • Responsible for campaign execution including coordination, monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on performance of all campaignss
  • Manage relationship with third-party vendors related to telemarketing, advertising and campaign development
  • Measure campaign performance and identify levers for improvement – design and analyze relevant reports, and evaluate performance across various marketing channels to identify opportunities to optimize ROI
  • Ability to act as a project manager with expertise in lead generation

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; at least 5 years marketing experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint required
  • Working knowledge of social advertising methods required.
  • Working knowledge of Hub Spot, Google Analytics, HootSuite, preferred
